Barton Road Cricket Field
This was the Cricket Field in the 1930's. The Cricket Pavilion shown was moved to Newbold Road after the War. This field is now covered with the houses of the Gregory Road Estate and the gateway shown is now the entrance to Gregory Close.

These two views show a peaceful country lane even as late as the 1960's. This is no longer the case. The trees have all gone and the isolated cottages are now at the end of a completely built up road.
